At the Lynbrook Village Board Meeting held on August 6, 2007, the Mayor and Trustees honored two Lynbrook volunteers.  The Mayor first presented a Citation to Ex-Captain Cathy Aresta of the Emergency Medical Company for her heroism in assisting with the rescue of a person from a burning auto in Malverne. 

Secondly, Ex-Chief and Honorary Fire Commissioner Dominic DeCarlo of Tally-Ho Engine 3 was presented with a Citation recognizing his 60 years of volunteer service to the Lynbrook Fire Department and the residents of Lynbrook.  

Chief Robert Occhipinti, and Assistant Chiefs, John O'Reilly, Kevin Bien and Ray Burke were on hand for the presentations.   After the meeting, members of the Emergency Medical Company and Tally-Ho posed with their respective honorary on the steps of Village Hall.
