On Sunday, August 29, 2010, under beautiful blue skies, the Lynbrook Fire Department held their annual Home Tournament and Picnic in Greis Park.  The day began with ladder, hose, and bucket competition between Truck Company, Engine Company, Hose Company, Tally-Ho Company, and the Junior Fire Department.  Vulcan Company did not compete, nor did the Medical Company which stood-by to handle injuries and other emergencies in the village.  Competition during the tournament was fierce and the scores were close.  Tally-Ho came in first with 26 points, followed by Engine with 22 points, Hose with 21 points, Truck with 13, and the Juniors with 5.   Lynbrook Chief Raymond Burke congratulated the winning team and all who competed.  The department members and their families then enjoyed a great picnic and also got a chance to use the village pool.
