As part of recent renovation of the interior of Astoria Federal Savings Bank at 360 Merrick Road, the bank obtained two old time photos of Truck Company and Hose Company and had them made into murals that have now been placed on the walls inside the bank.  One photo, that of Truck Company, shows the members standing on a motorized rig in front of the firehouse.  That mural can be seen inside the bank to the left of the teller windows.  The second photo, that of a 1909 photograph of Hose Company, is located in the foyer of the ATM machine.  In one of the photos, Denise Rogers, Assistant Vice President and Branch Manger, and Assistant Manager Tony Coston, stand before the Truck Company mural.

The bank is also holding a contest for residents to guess the year that the Truck Company photo was taken.  Those picking the right date will be entered into a drawing to win a Sony Reader Touch Edition
