On Tuesday, May 31, 2011, the annual Lynbrook Night was held at Citi Field before the start of a Met game. The Lynbrook, East Rockaway, and Malverne Little League members were in attendance along the warning track. The Lynbrook FD color guard marched out to center field for the Star Spangled Banner. Also during the opening ceremonies the Little League presented their annual Spirit Award to Ex-Chief Raymond Burke and others. Chief Michael Hynes was in attendance at the ceremonies, while Assistant Chiefs Anthony DeCarlo, Edward Hynes and Michael Anderson, escorted the color guard.
