After the Memorial Day service at the Firefighter's Memorial, which honored four volunteers who were killed in action in World War II, the department, led by Chief Michael Anderson, marched in the Village of Lynbrook's Annual Memorial Day Parade sponsored by the VFW and American Legion. The parade started at McDonald's on Merrick Road and ended at Village Hall. After the parade, Chief Anderson joined with Tally-Ho Engine 3 members who participated in the Village's Memorial Service at the Doughboy Monument at Ross Plaza to remember all veterans from Lynbrook who made the supreme sacrifice and were killed in battle. Part of that memorial service included the presentation of a wreath on the stone marker in front of the monument which remembers Tally-Ho Ex-Captain Jeffrey L. Wiener, who as a Navy Corpsman was killed in action in Iraq in 2005.
