On Saturday, November 10, 2013, as part of an effort on the part of the Lynbrook Fire Department to keep our residents aware of the effects of fire in their homes, a group of Lynbrook firefighters, led by Bryan Brown of Truck Company, and with the approval of Chief Edward Hynes, built two rooms in Wilcox Alley to demonstrate how a fire can spread in one's home.  The first room was that of a bedroom while the second was a living room with a Christmas tree.  Both these rooms were set on fire.  The fires were filmed for a Public Service Fire Safety commercial by Dan Neri, an associate of his, and this writer, that will soon be seen on our local Lynbrook TV.  Here are photos of the firefighters building the two rooms and the fires that later consumed them.
