During
the weekend of March 25 and 26, 2012, the members of Tally-Ho
Chemical Fire Engine Company No. 3 of the Lynbrook Fire Department,
celebrated its 100th Anniversary with a centennial meeting and an
open house. On Saturday evening, March 25th, the members held a
centennial meeting to remember the incorporation of the company 100
years ago that date. All former members were invited to the meeting
including the members of Engine Company 2 of the Valley Stream Fire
Department, who until 1922, were part of Tally-Ho before Tally-Ho
joined the LFD. On the following day, the company held an Open House
for the fire service. Numerous dignitaries and guests presented
plaques and citations marking the occasion.
